The Texas Sportsbook Coalition is a grassroots organization made up of Texas citizens that advocate for sportsbook gambling to be made legal in the Lone Star State to create jobs and keep gaming revenues, that are going to other states, here at home. We are not, nor are we being funded by Big Casinos, Corporate Lobbyists, or Gambling Associations. We are not asking for money nor are we spending money on lobbyists or making political contributions to candidates. This is a pure grassroots organization and our main purpose is to discuss relevant information, share ideas, and weigh in on legislative activity regarding legalizing sportsbook wagering in our state.

TSC's Goals
The Texas Sportsbook Coalition seeks to support responsible legislation that will legalize sportsbook betting in the state and keep Texas money in Texas. According to several reports, close to $3 billion a year is being spent in our three neighboring states’ casinos. The fees and taxes on this money could be going towards many social benefits in this state including; public education, school safety, disaster relief, and child welfare. We could also be creating thousands of new jobs in our cities that desperately need them.
The state of Texas does not offer state regulated online sports betting for their residents or visitors. The Department of Justice has stated that the 1961’s Wire Act applies to online sports betting and nothing else. This means that Texas may not be able to legalize state based sports betting online within the state.
